Day 55: LGBTQ+

Review topics from yesterday.

1 new fact you learned.
1 point that you are still unsure/confused about the Harvard University transgender swimmer.

  • -   6 School Trustee nominees in Richmond that voted against the policy (their perspectives/why they voted against it). Are they misinformed? Are they really just against inclusion etc.

  • -  Richmond School District entered into the Pride Parade for the very first time this year (in August). What’s the significance of it? What took so long for them to enter? How will Richmond’s entry help LGBTQ students? Etc.
Why is it important that the LGBTQ community have a pride parade? Some heterosexual people demand that they have a ‘straight parade’, why is this looked down upon?
- You may want to address about Trump’s plan to set gender/sex to only binary and nothing else. A huge uproar is happening because he’s implying that no other gender/sex exists except male/female; men/women. The trans community is deeply hurt by this. Many people, including, celebrities, have lashed out against it. Define/review gender and sex.

  1. Donald Trump is the most lgbtq+ president the U.S has ever had, that's why Ted Cruz should have won, but at least he's not a democrat. And the pope is a socialist
